William Blennerhassett

Mr. Blennerhassett worked his way through college as a construction laborer, eventually earning his degree from St. Michael's College in 1976. After graduation he began working full time at Colony Construction, a small, local, family owned industrial maintenance company. Mr. Blennerhassett assumed control of the business in 1980 and transformed it into a specialty contractor in the industrial chimney repair and maintenance sector. Under his management, the company increased sales by 3,000% and expanded geographically throughout the eastern United States.
Mr. Blennerhassett negotiated the sale of Colony Construction to Structural Group in 2000. Structural was and remains an industry leader in the strengthening and repair of civil infrastructure. As a vice-president and member of the senior leadership team, he was instrumental in identifying emerging markets and managing several growth initiatives. Among them were a natural draft cooling tower repair initiative and a commercial nuclear power industry market focus. These two initiatives alone generated in excess of $150 million in revenues over the course of his tenure at Structural.
Mr. Blennerhassett founded Colony Consulting Group in 2017 in the belief that growing a business isn't a "one size fits all" proposition. Business owners should consider different growth platforms to identify the strategy that best leverages their strengths. Colony Consulting has established a network of advisors and companies that provide a wide range of business and financial services. Our goal is to place each business with the service provider that can best facilitate the selected strategy.
